The Society of Florida Archivists Journal

Mission

The Society of Florida Archivists Journal (SFAJ) is a peer-reviewed, open access, fully online publication governed and managed completely by members of the Society of Florida Archivists. The Journal focuses on the work of archival professionals working in a variety of settings including archives, libraries, museums, special collections, historical societies, government agencies, and corporate environments.

It is the hope of the Editorial Board that this publication will foster exciting conversations about progressive archival approaches and best practices in the state of Florida and beyond. For more detailed information about the focus and scope of the publication and for an explanation of the peer review process, please visit the SFAJ website. Announcements and past issues can also be found on the Journal’s website.

Publication Information

In an effort to provide content to readers as quickly as possible, single articles are published and announced online as they are ready throughout the year. Individual articles are then compiled by the Editorial team into a complete issue on an annual basis.

The Journal accepts new content submissions on an ongoing basis and makes a call for contributions yearly, following the SFA annual meeting. If you have questions about the editorial process, criteria for submission, or the timeline of publication please consult the Journal webpage which outlines our Peer Review Process and Submission Requirements in greater detail.

Volunteers

If you have interest in volunteering as a peer reviewer or taking on an editorial role in service to SFAJ, please contact a member of the Editorial Board. We are always looking for more help!
